A lake ecosystem was severely affected by past arsenic contamination from a gold mine near Yellowknife, according to a new collaborative study undertaken by Queen’s University researcher John Smol and his colleagues at the University of Ottawa, Joshua Thienpont and Jules Blais.
With over 700 researchers within the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen’s University, we take research seriously – really seriously. And at the core of our research, is our people, our researchers. From faculty members, to research administrators, to students, you would be hard-pressed to find someone within the Faculty of Arts and Science that doesn’t have a role to play in the research we do. Our researchers do more than publish, they solve the problems of tomorrow with the solutions they find today… and our students are right there beside them.
